Bling, bling, bling….  After all diamonds are a girls best friend.  Marilyn Monroe  would not be the only person to object to bobbles being a girl’s best friend.  It’s hard to believe that these precious stones over the decades have represented more than just a sparkly affair.  Certain jewelry stones were once believed to keep evil away from a child who was properly protected by wearing certain gem stones.  Others found planetary attractions but using precious gem stones to align Zodiac concurrences.  Although, jewelry has evolved, it has always remained a girl’s best friend and it is always fun to pick out to match your prom dress.  Who can resist the sparkly stones this 2008 prom season has to offer.  Prom jewelry designer DeBora Rachelle made floral necklaces with colored stones to match the floral embroidery in her 2009 prom dresses.  DeBora Rachelle’s gothic prom jewelry also has an interesting effect when you put it with a gorgeous prom gown.  Crosses and skulls can really look great when they are adorned with rhinestones and beadwork.  Drop chandelier earrings may be out but smaller hanging earrings are center stage.

Rhinestones are shown in this years designer collections with a small selection of pearls in other designer collections.  Pearls may be worn to soften the look with lace gowns and light colored pastels.  Rhinestones have the highest percentage in designer collections.  Bringing out the flashy loud colors of lime green, blues, fuchsias, and yellows shown in this years prom dresses.  Whatever you decide a girl can never go wrong choosing bobbles.  After all, designer jewelry is really a girls best friend along with her great prom shoes, prom gloves, and prom makeup.
